Mission Aims & Objectives IIPC Advisory Board Proceedings

Indian industry at present has reached a crucial turning point where it has to face the dynamic demands of the competitive domestic and global markets through the provisions of high quality products and services. To survive and succeed in this new scenario, the input that is most essential is the human resource. As technologies change rapidly, retraining and updating of the work force continuously are becoming major challenges facing every country today. Srusti Academy of Management and Technology(Autonomous),Bhubaneswar has setup a separate Industry Institute Partnership Cell for this purpose. Industries and Professional Educational Institutions have a strong mutuality of interest which forms the basis of a partnership between them.

Mission:

The mission of the IIP Cell at Srusti Academy of Management and Technology(Autonomous) is to reduce the gap between industry expectations from professionally Qualified students of the Institute and academic offerings by ensuring direct involvement of industry to attain a synergy.

Aims and Objectives of IIP Cell at Srusti:

  1. To arrange industrial training for students and identify student project work in Industries. To encourage Industry to collaborate in Industry Study Tour Programmes (ISTP) and placement of students in Industries.
  2. Guest lectures by eminent personalities from Industries at regular intervals to update the students knowledge.
  3. Personality development workshop for students relating to soft skills (communication skills / personality development/Interview Skills) by associating Industry personnel.
  4. To interact with Industries for conducting joint research work involving faculty/ students/research scholars etc.
  5. Faculty exchanges - getting professionals from industry as visiting faculty or adjunct professors for short or long periods and deputation of faculty to industry to gain industrial experience and/or work on projects in industry.
  6. Curriculum development- associating experts from industry in curriculum planning and review.
  7. Continuing education programmes:Organising MDPs/EDPs for professionals from Govt and Industry
  8. Conducting In house training programme at the request of industries at their location
  9. Conducting Entrepreneurship Development Programme.
  10. Promotion of Income Generating activities namely:
    1. Conducting market surveys and feasibility reports through projects assigned to the students and providing them to the industry for their benefit.
  11. Technology transfer in the nearby rural areas/Organising rural Fares/Product Launching for Corporate.
  12. Institution of Industry sponsored special chairs/staff positions with all expenses met where reputed persons can be appointed for a fixed period.
  13. Services to industry : Institute can provide services to industry such as:-
    1. Library and information services to the industries
    2. Access to institute research information service
    3. Access to laboratory facilities.
  14. Felicitating Distinguished persons from Industry.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Board will lay down policy guidelines, fixing up of physical and financial targets, suggesting measures for raising funds, effective utilisation of facilities and expertise available in the Institute and sourcing of expertise and facilities from other institutions in the region.
